What to expect
Gorilla trekking is the main attraction, offering intimate encounters with these rare primates. The trails in Ruhija are relatively steep, making for a more adventurous trek, but they reward hikers with stunning vistas and diverse wildlife. The area is also excellent for birdwatching and primate spotting, including colobus monkeys and L'Hoest’s monkeys.
